Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Wren Landscape Design collects, uses, and protects your personal information, in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Irish Data Protection Acts.
Last updated: September 2026
1. Who We Are
Wren Landscape Design ("we", "us", "our") is a nature-based design studio based at The Green House, 12 Merrion Square, Dublin 2, D02 KF82, Ireland. We are the data controller for the personal information collected through this website.
You can contact us at hello@wrenlandscapedesign.com for any privacy-related question or request.
2. Information We Collect
Inquiry details: when you submit our enquiry form, we collect your name, email address, phone number, your garden location, and the project details you choose to share (what you would like help with, your approximate budget, garden size and start timeframe), your description of the garden, any photos you upload, and — if you choose to tell us — how you heard about us.
Technical information: like most websites, our platform collects standard technical data such as your IP address, browser type, device information, and pages visited, used for security and basic analytics.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your personal information only to: respond to your project inquiry and carry out pre-contract communications; provide the services you request; maintain the security and performance of the website; and meet our legal obligations.
We do not use your information for automated decision-making or profiling, and we do not sell or rent your personal data to anyone.
4. Legal Basis for Processing
Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Ireland's Data Protection Acts, we process your data on the following legal bases: your consent (given when you submit the inquiry form, withdrawable at any time); steps necessary for entering into a contract or responding to pre-contract enquiries; our legitimate interests in operating and securing the website; and compliance with legal obligations.
5. Cookies and Analytics
This website uses cookies for essential site functionality and, only with your consent, for analytics and Google Ads advertising. We use Google Ads — with Google Consent Mode v2 — to understand how people find us and to measure our advertising; where you consent, Google Ads cookies may also be used for remarketing. Non-essential cookies remain switched off until you make a choice in our consent banner.
Advertising measurement: when you consent to advertising cookies, we measure the performance of our Google Ads campaigns — for example, recording when an enquiry, a phone call or an email follows one of our adverts. If you consent, the email address and phone number you submit with an enquiry are shared with Google in hashed form (enhanced conversions) so the enquiry can be matched to the advert that led you here; these details are never displayed publicly or sent anywhere else. If you decline, only essential site function data is shared, and no advertising cookies are set.
You can review or change your choices at any time using the "Cookie settings" link in the footer of every page, or see our Cookie Policy for full details. Rejecting non-essential cookies does not affect how the website works.
6. Data Sharing and International Transfers
We share personal data only with service providers who help us operate this website (for example, our hosting, email and — where you have consented — Google advertising services, which receive measurement data in hashed form), and only to the extent necessary for them to perform their services on our behalf.
Where data is transferred outside the European Economic Area, we rely on the European Commission's adequacy decisions or Standard Contractual Clauses, together with supplementary safeguards where required.
7. How Long We Keep Your Data
Inquiry details are kept for as long as needed to respond to your enquiry and, if a project follows, for the duration of the business relationship and any statutory retention period. Data that is no longer necessary is deleted or anonymised.
8. Your Rights
Under GDPR you have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you; have inaccurate data rectified; have your data erased (the "right to be forgotten"); restrict or object to processing; receive your data in a portable format; and withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Commission, our national supervisory authority in Ireland.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@wrenlandscapedesign.com. We will respond within one month.
9. Security
We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, loss, or disclosure, including encryption in transit and access controls on our systems.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or the law. The current version is always available on this page.
