Areas of Practice
Commercial Landscapes
Landscape for workplaces, mixed-use schemes and commercial places where the outside space has a job to do: arrival, dwell time, staff amenity, cooling and surface water.
How we see it
Commercial landscape is usually the last line in the budget and the first thing a tenant, customer or investor walks through.
We design it as working space rather than decoration: somewhere to arrive, to meet, to eat outside, and to hold storm water when the drains are under pressure. Planting is specified for the maintenance regime that will actually be in place, not for how it looks in the first photograph.
Where we work
Workplace campuses
Arrival, courtyards and the grounds between buildings, designed for the people who use them every day.
Mixed-use and retail
Public-facing space that carries footfall, signage and weather without looking like a service yard.
Business and technology parks
Structure planting, water management and legible routes across large, low-density sites.
Hospitality and leisure
Terraces, gardens and event space where the landscape is part of the offer, not the setting for it.
Courtyards, terraces and roofs
Planting and surfaces that work at height, in shade and under a maintenance contract.
What we design
Working with your team
We coordinate with architects, engineers, the fit-out team and the facilities manager, because a commercial landscape fails after handover faster than it fails on the drawing board. Phased plots and partial handovers are planned for from the start.
We are a small practice and take on a limited number of schemes at a time. The people you meet are the people who do the work.
Concept work
The development work published in our Design Studies is concept work. These studies test how a site could absorb water, hold planting and share space before a layout is fixed, and they are not records of completed schemes. Client commissions are published only with permission.

Tell us about the site and the brief. We can advise on landscape scope before the budget is set, which is when it makes the most difference.
