Fixed-Fee Garden Design Package
The Grassroots Package
A complete, fixed-fee design package for homeowners who want a clear, professional landscape plan without a full design-and-build commission. Ground Roots takes your garden from first survey to a buildable plan — rooted in the same ecological thinking that guides every Wren project, and ready to hand to a contractor of your choosing.
What's Included
The full Grassroots Package is one fixed fee and covers everything below from first visit to final plan.
- Topographical site survey and full site analysis
- Soil test to understand what your ground can support
- Written design brief developed with you
- Designer visit to develop the concept on site
- Draft landscape plan for your approval, sent digitally
- Follow-up call (30 minutes, by phone or online)
- Up to two hours of design development after the call
- Two printed full-colour landscape plans — design, specification drawings and materials
- Two printed copies of the setting-out map for whoever builds the garden
- Two printed copies of the planting and lighting proposal
How It Works
Enquiry and Brief
Tell us about your garden through our enquiry form. We confirm suitability for the package, agree the fixed fee in writing, and develop your design brief with you.
Survey and Concept
We carry out the topographical survey, site analysis and soil test, then visit you on site to develop the concept together.
Plan for Approval
You receive a draft landscape plan digitally for approval, followed by a 30-minute call and up to two hours of design development.
Issued Plans
You receive two printed copies of each document — the full landscape plan, the setting-out map, and the planting and lighting proposal — ready for tendering or building.
Payment Schedule
We invoice a 50% deposit to confirm the survey, and the final 50% is due one week before the designer's visit. The fee is fixed and agreed in writing before any work begins, so there are no surprises along the way.
Grassroots is currently available for gardens across Dublin and Leinster. For sites further afield, tell us where you are and we will let you know what is possible.
